Modern Japanese House by Studio SKLIM

Studio SKLIM created in Nagoya, Japan a modern house with modern techniques.It is made out of timber from a renewable source, a building material which has the strongest wheight to strenght ratio coupled with steel bracketing to reduce movements during earthquaqes, a very common thing in Japan.

This modern structure  contrasts highly :the interior with the exterior.If from the outside the building looks futuristic and out of the box on the inside is really warm and welcoming.Shiny wooden floors,white plain walls, big windows make from this household a nice livable place .Dark wooden panneling on the walls also create an intimate working and living place, as we can see here.A major importance was given to the interior decoration.

From walls to book shelfs, from kitchen appliances to tables and chairs, from comfortable couches to lighting system, everything was carefully chosen to be part of a wonderfull clean interior design.We all know that the Asians follow some rules derived from nature regarding design and decoration also building.

Thereby the exterior design of this home may look a little strange but it is indeed a combination of modern looks with functionality.Looking from the street straight to it almost an optical illusion is created,like upstairs is an empty room with a window in the back and no wall towards the street.As I was saying, this is a representation of modern looks and clearly defined rules about living standards.{found on archdaily}
